Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won the French Football League title for a record 11th time by playing a 1-1 draw against Strasbourg with the help of Lionel Messi's goal. With this win, PSG has 85 points in 37 matches and is four points ahead of second-placed Lens. Lens has 81 points from 37 matches and now only one round of matches is left. Messi also gave PSG the lead in the 59th minute by scoring a goal near Kylian Mbappe.

Former PSG striker Kevin Gamero scored the equalizer for Strasbourg in the 79th minute. This was Messi's 496th goal in league matches in Europe and in this way he has also broken Cristiano Ronaldo's record of scoring the most goals in Europe's top 5 leagues. Lens also secured their second place by defeating Ajaccio 3-0 in another match.

With this, he has also confirmed his place in the Champions League to be held in the coming season. PSG surpassed former French giants Saint Anne, who won their 10th and final title in 1981. Saint Etienne slipped to the second division last year.
