Pune: A 40-year-old IT professional allegedly shot dead his gynaecologist wife following a domestic feud at her clinic in Hinjawadi area here, police said today. A red plastic bat lies outside Mother Care Clinic at Wakad Chowk. The two shops adjacent to the clinic a real estate and a laundry shop are closed.
They downed shutters after Dr Anjali Chandanao was shot dead allegedly by her husband Manoj Patidar late Wednesday night.
Manoj Patidar allegedly shot his third wife Dr Anjali, with a country-made pistol, the police added.
Patidar, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was arrested here last night. Police suspect foul play in the deaths of his earlier wives.
Her two-year-old child’s bat lies outside the closed clinic as a mute witness to the violent turn of events on Wednesday night. The owner of the premises rented by Anjali-Bhalchandra Khole, who stays behind the clinic, is completely shaken.
