Puneeth Rajkumar in government campaign to create awareness about vaccination

Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar has been roped in by the Karnataka government to create awareness about COVID-19 and the importance of being vaccinated against it, even as lockdown continues to be imposed in Karnataka to combat the second wave of the pandemic.

In a video that has been widely shared on social media, Puneeth says, “COVID-19 is a deadly disease, which has caused many deaths around the world. To bring the pandemic under control, we need to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour, like wearing masks, maintaining social distance, sanitising hands regularly and staying indoors. When you get a slot, get vaccinated. If anyone gets COVID, there is no need to panic. First, call the Aptha Mithra helpline to get immediate medical treatment. Stay Home, Stay Safe.” This is not the first time Puneeth has been doing his bit for a cause. He had also featured in a video to spread a message about education.

On the career front, the actor was shooting for James before the lockdown was enforced by the government. James marks his collaboration with director Chethan Kumar for the first time.
