Amritsar: The farmers' protest against the farm bills brought by the Modi government of the Center continues. Today, dozens of peasant organizations and political parties have announced a Bharat Bandh against this bill. Furious demonstrations are being organized on behalf of farmers in areas of Haryana and Punjab. Meanwhile, the Amarinder government of Punjab can bring a new Act to remove this bill brought by the Central Government. So that the changes made about the farmers' mandis cannot be implemented in the state.

According to the media report, the Punjab government can amend the APMC Act in the state and declare the entire state as the Principal Market Yard. There is a lot of pressure from farmers and mandis on the state government, in such a situation, the change in the law at the state level can be prevented from fully implementing the law of the Center. If this amendment is done by the state government, then no one will be able to sell his crop outside the state.

With this, farmers will not get the price of produce below the minimum support price (MSP) and the state government will continue to receive revenue in the form of market fees. However, no official decision has been taken by the Amarinder government on this and legal advice is being done.
