Chandigarh: Political turmoil has increased in several states of the country over the past few days, while former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has now made a fresh blast after resigning from Congress. He has called for exposing Congress leaders, including ministers and MLAs involved in illegal mining, which could create problems for Congress.

In fact, in his resignation to Congress, the Captain has raised several issues and made several revelations, one of which is the disclosure of illegal mining. He has written that several Congress ministers and MLA were also involved in illegal mining. However, the Captain is yet to announce the names of these Ministers and MLAs. The Captain wrote, "Keeping in view the good of the party, I did not disclose his names so that the Congress would not face embarrassment.'' At the same time, Captain Amarinder Singh also hinted that he may announce the names of ministers and MLAs involved in illegal sand work in the near future. The captain has said that he wants to make such names public.

Let me tell you, in July this year, Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal had lodged a complaint of illegal mining against five party MLAs including the then Minister of Mining and Geology of Punjab Sukhbinder Sarkaria and Santokh Singh Bhalaipur. The complaint was lodged by Badal at Beas police station. Badal had alleged that illegal mining was being carried out near the Beas river in Punjab.
