Chandigarh: The Congress government in Punjab is going to give a big boost to the unemployed youth of the state. The Channi government is preparing to bring a law to provide all jobs to the youth of the state in Punjab. For this, the Government is formulating a Special Reservation Policy. CM Charanjit Singh Channi said Punjabis will be given priority for employment in Punjab on the lines of Haryana.

In Punjab, assembly elections are proposed in early 2022. In such a situation, the Channi government is taking big populist decisions. The state government has already made a big announcement by cutting power tariffs. With this, the Channi government has worked to cater to the larger section by ensuring 36,000 raw employees. Channi is now going to take a big decision on the issue of unemployment. CM Channi said he is consulting lawmakers in this regard. CM Channi said local people in neighbouring Haryana, Himachal are given priority in employment. In Punjab also, priority should be given to Punjabis.

CM Channi further said that government jobs are created in Punjab, but it also gives jobs to the unemployed people of outside states, but that will not happen now. Now, only the people of the State will get jobs. He said 5000 posts of Home Guards will be recruited soon. At the same time, the State Government has also increased the minimum wages of skilled and unskilled workers. In addition, the Government has given some concessions to reduce the rates of sand and brick.
