Chandigarh (Punjab): The Punjab government imposed a night curfew in the state from 10 pm. to 5 am. on Tuesday, which will last till January 15.

The government stated in a press statement, "Individual movement for all non-essential activities is forbidden between the hours of 10 pm. and 5 am. within the municipal limits of all Punjab cities and towns. As a result, the district authorities are being ordered to issue prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC and enforce them strictly."

"All bars, cinema halls, multiplexes, shops, restaurants, spas, museums, zoos, etc. shall be allowed to function at 50 percent of their capacity provided to all workers present being properly vaccinated," the press release continued.

"All sports facilities, stadiums, swimming pools, and gyms must be shut down. Buses with air conditioning will operate at 50 percent capacity." Furthermore, only fully vaccinated employees will be permitted to work in government and private offices, according to the order.
