Amritsar: Pro-Khalistan slogans were written on the walls of the residence of a sessions judge in the Faridkot district of Punjab ruled by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). District SSP Avneet Kaur Sidhu said on Saturday that Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, chief of Khalistani terror outfit Sikh for Justice (SFJ), has claimed responsibility for the act. He said Pannu has released a video in which slogans are seen written on the walls of the house.  In such a situation, a big question is, when the security of a judge in Punjab can be compromised in this way, what should the general public expect?

However, the police have started an investigation based on CCTV footage. After the case came to light, the slogans written on the walls have been painted black. Earlier, pro-Khalistani slogans were also found written in the park in Bajigar Basti of Faridkot. The central government had on July 1, 2020, declared Gurpatwant Singh Pannu a terrorist under the amended UAPA act. It was only in July 2020 that the Punjab Police registered a sedition case against him in Amritsar, Kapurthala, Gurugram.

Terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had announced to celebrate Khalistan Day on April 29. He had said on his YouTube channel, "Haryana will be a part of Punjab and Punjab will be liberated from Hindustan. In the video, he had said that a Khalistani flag will be hoisted in every SP and DC office from Gurugram to Ambala on April 29 and Haryana will become Khalistan.''
