There are reports that 45-year-old Rajkishore, a resident of Mahaveer Jain Colony of Daresi police station area of Ludhiana, lived with his wife Geeta and sons and daughters. He used to work as a mason. According to the information received further, Rajkishore's wife Geeta had divorced her first husband and married him. She had a son and daughter from the first husband, who lived with the mother. Geeta has told the police that Rajkishore returned home on Saturday night and tried to rape her 15-year-old daughter. When the daughter protested, he started assaulting her.
