Amritsar: The ongoing tussle between Punjab Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu and CM Charanjit Singh Channi is not going to stop. CM Channi has now slammed Sidhu for his 'Pant Geeli' statement. Pointing to MLA Navtej Singh Cheema at a recent rally, Sidhu had said that he was strong enough to get the policeman's pants wet. Sidhu was heavily criticised for the statement. On the other hand, now CM Channi has said that in fact, seeing Punjab police, the pants of criminals are wet.

Addressing a function at Punjab armed police complex, CM Channi told the policemen, 'Whatever anyone says, you do your duty. The pants of the criminals get wet when they see the Punjab Police.' CM Channi said, "100 people can say anything against me, but I am moving ahead with a positive attitude. I have to work for the welfare of the common people, similarly, our police force has to work for their benefit.''

Sidhu has been under constant attack after his statement on 'Pant Geeli.' Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu attacked Navjot Singh Sidhu saying Sidhu will have to learn the culture of the Congress party. Ashu further said that when there is a collective responsibility, the decision will also be collective. He said that in today's atmosphere of uncertainty, leaders have to come together and walk.
