Amritsar: Today is the last day of campaigning in the Punjab Assembly elections. After this, the ball will remain in the public court and on February 20, the fate of all the candidates will be captured in the EVM machine. But in the meantime, every party, every leader is playing different bets to create an atmosphere in their favour. One such bet has been played by Punjab Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu. He had arrived in Amritsar East on Thursday to campaign for himself. His supporters were also going from house to house appealing to people to vote for Sidhu.

But then many doors were closed and people decided not to come out. At the same time, when Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife reached there for campaigning, a man angrily said that they could never have any contact with Sidhu. Now that Sidhu came to know the ground reality, he immediately apologised to the voters of his area. He said- "My biggest mistake was that I could not get in touch with you people directly. I couldn't meet workers who wanted to meet me at 1.30 a.m. I have promised the people of My Amritsar that I will never leave them. I had also left a cabinet berth for my people.''

Sidhu announced that he will now launch a landline number in the name of hello MLA, where within an hour he will contact the workers and people himself. Sidhu has also argued that now he is the president of the Punjab Congress, so he has more power. In the next five years, will take the area forward by 100 years.
