New Delhi: Navjot Singh Sidhu is scheduled to visit Delhi today amid reports that he will be in command of the Punjab Congress. According to the information received, he will visit the party's interim president Sonia Gandhi's residence here to meet her. There are also reports that Sidhu will be accompanied by the party's Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat who will meet Sonia Gandhi. At present, Sidhu's buzz of becoming Punjab Congress president is strong and political turmoil has also intensified.

Some media reports say that Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat has suggested Sidhu as Punjab Congress president to end the internal strife in the party. So that the resentment of both Captain Amarinder Singh and Sidhu can be removed. CM is not happy with the suggestion of Sidhu, a leader close to Captain Amarinder Singh and several young Punjab Congress leaders, to be made president. There are reports that tension has started in the party over Sidhu being made the President of Punjab Congress. Now, there are separate meetings of pro-Captain leaders and pro-Sidhu leaders.
