Amritsar: Punjab Police arrested a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier Ravindra Singh on charges of smuggling from Pakistan. The soldier is accused of smuggling in Sri Ganganagar on the Indo-Pakistan border in Rajasthan. The Punjab Police has arrested a total of three people. They are accused of smuggling heroin and illegal weapons from across the border.

After a long time, such a case has come to light in Rajasthan when BSF soldier posted on the border has been arrested in smuggling case from Pakistan. The Punjab Police had camped in Sriganganagar for the last three days and went back with them last night. The CBI on Tuesday arrested a senior BSF officer in the case of animal trafficking. According to the information, Satish Kumar, former commandant of the 36th battalion of BSF, has been arrested by the investigating agency after several hours of questioning.

It is being told that this arrest of BSF officer has been made in connection with the investigation of illegal animal trafficking on the India-Bangladesh border.
