Indore: Today is the last day for the filing of nominations by the candidates for the Madhya Pradesh urban body elections. In the same Indore city, BJP candidate Pushyamitra Bhargava will file nomination papers for the post of mayor at 11 am today. He will reach the District Magistrate's office by rally from Rajwada. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state president VD Sharma will also participate in the rally.

Being the last day for filing nominations, a fair will be held for the candidates and supporters of the councilor post in the district magistrate's office throughout the day. In view of the crowd, the administration has increased the system. On the other hand, Congress's held tickets will also be announced on Saturday. Congress mayor candidate Sanjay Shukla has already filed his nomination. He is now engaged in public relations. Along with this, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Yashwant Club of Indore city will also be held today. AGM is going to be held in the club after three years. The election will be announced in the meeting. Elections were not held for the last 3 years due to Corona infection.

When will the civic elections happen?

After the nomination for the civic elections, the scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 20. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is June 22. The allotment of election symbol will be done on this date. Voting for the first phase of Madhya Pradesh civic polls 2022 will be held on July 6. Whereas for the second phase, votes will be cast on July 13. The election results will be announced on July 17 and 18.
