TEHRAN: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi & his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin,  and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have held talks here, agreeing to further strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation to ensure security in the region.

The three sides expressed satisfaction with the improvement in ties, particularly in the economic, security, infrastructure, energy, trade, and industry sectors, as they reviewed recent developments in their bilateral relations, which have significantly improved since the start of the Raisi administration. They also expressed a desire to keep advancing the development of their bilateral ties.

Raisi and Putin praised their collaboration's successes in the fight against terrorism while highlighting the need for improved regional and transregional cooperation. They also expressed their determination to contribute to the maintenance of security in the "independent states" in the region. Raisi called the desire of the two nations to deepen bilateral ties "extraordinary" and noted that since his meetings with Putin in late January in Moscow and late June in Ashgabat, Iran-Russia cooperation has continued to show a growing trend that has to be strengthened.

The Iranian president commented on the "effective" bilateral cooperation in the battle against terrorism in Syria, saying that such alliances "set the stage for enhancing regional security and stability."
He said that by working together to fight terrorism, Iran and Russia have demonstrated their sincerity and resolve on the matter.

Putin said, there is more cooperation between Russia and Iran in the area of international security. He also noted that both nations are contributing significantly to the efforts being made to find a solution to the Syrian issue.
