In the Singapore Open 2022, India's badminton star PV Sindhu won the title. Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu defeated China's Wang Ji Yi 21-9, 11-21, 21-15 in the final. Earlier, world No.7 badminton star PV Sindhu defeated unranked Saina Kawakami of Japan by straight sets in the semi-finals. Sindhu easily won the semi-finals by a margin of 21-15, and 21-7. Japanese star Kavakami is seen falling heavily on Sindhu even once.
Exciting match between Sindhu-Wang: Reports say that it was not so easy for PV Sindhu to beat world No.11 ranked Wang Ji Yi. In the match that lasted for three sets, PV Sindhu started with a win. She had defeated Chinese player Wang 21-9 in the first set. After which Wang made a comeback and won the second set 21-11 to level the match.
