New Delhi: India's star women's badminton player PV Sindhu, who is looking for her first title after winning a medal in Tokyo Olympics-2020, has made it to the quarterfinals of the ongoing French Open in Paris. Sindhu defeated Denmark's Line Christopherson in straight games in the second round of the women's singles category of the tournament to advance to the quarterfinals of the French Open badminton tournament. Third rank Sindhu defeated 24th-ranked Christopherson 21-19, 21-9 in a match played late on Thursday night. This match lasted 37 minutes.

Defending world champion Sindhu will take on Thailand's eighth ranker Busanan Ongbamrungfan in the quarterfinals. She defeated Busanan at the Denmark Open last week.
