Onion kachori is a tasty and crisp dish. It is very popular in Indian households. It is made from flour, onion, green chillies and spices etc. This tasty dish can be served with tamarind or green chutney and a drink of your choice. This recipe can also be made on many special occasions. Know how you can make it at home.
Onion Kachori Ingredients:-
White Flour 1 cup
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Powder 1 tsp red chilli
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Dried mango powder 1 tsp
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
refined oil as per requirement
Water 1/2 cup
Onion 1
Garam Masala Powder 1/2 tsp
Green chilies 2
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Gram Flour – 1 tbsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Boiled potatoes – 2
Knead the dough for kachori and prepare:- To knead the dough, take a bowl and add White Flour, salt, 1 tsp refined oil and water. Knead the dough with it. Set it aside for a while. In the meantime, finely chop the onion and green chillies. Put them in a bowl. Mix the boiled potatoes and place them in a separate bowl.
Fry the spices:- Now place a pan on a low flame and add 1 tsp refined oil to it. When the oil is well heated, add garlic paste, ginger paste, asafoetida, cumin seeds, sugar and Mustard Seeds. Fry well and let the mixture cook. Then, add coriander leaves, chopped onions, chopped green chillies and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well.
Prepare filling:- When the onion turns light brown, add red chilli powder, mixed potatoes, amchur powder, besan, sugar and garam masala powder to the mixture. Mix everything well. After the oil is separated in the pan, remove it from the heat and keep it for cooling.
Prepare stuffed balls to make kachori:- Now remove a little flour from the flour and make small dough loaves. Then use a cylinder to flatten the sphere, then add stuffing and seal the corners. Make all such kachoris.
Deep fry the kachoris and serve with chutney:- Now place a deep bottomed pan on a low flame and heat refined oil in it. When the oil is well heated, add kachori and fry till golden brown. After the kachori is cooked, place them on a plate covered with absorbent paper. Serve it with tamarind and green chutney.
