The hosts Qatar and Ecuador will square off in the opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on November 20. The football world cup, which is held every four years, is the most-watched sporting event worldwide and brings millions of spectators to the host nation or nations. While the action is on the field, it may be quite difficult to plan a sporting event of this magnitude, and transportation is almost always a top priority. Apparently, Qatar is prepared.

The competition is projected to draw 1.2 million soccer fans from around the world to Qatar. In addition to the 1,000 buses that were already there, according to the event's organisers, about 3,000 more buses have been brought in for the occasion. 700 of the 4,000 buses overall are battery-powered. These buses would largely be in charge of transporting spectators to and from the eight stadiums hosting the 64 matches to determine the winner.

According to the Associated Press, a Hayya card is necessary for entry into Qatar between November 1 and January 23. A Hayya card costs $27 (2,200) and entitles the holder to 90 days of multiple entries with access to the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
