Queen Elizabeth II Demise: Meghan Markle's schedules cancelled and pushed back

Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on Friday, September 8, Meghan Markle's career aspirations have been put on hold. The Duchess of Sussex, who was scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, September 20, will instead be by her husband Prince Harry's side during his dear grandmother's state funeral, which is generally accepted to take place on Monday, September 19, according to sources cited by Page Six.

"Meghan was due on Fallon. I don't even know what she was going to talk about, but that's obviously cancelled now," an insider told Page Six. In addition, it has been rumoured that Meghan Markle's upcoming Archetypes episode, which was scheduled to air on Tuesday, September 13 and has been the talk of the town, may be postponed. Notably, it was anticipated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would travel back to New York to attend the 77th UN General Assembly (UNGA 77), but that now seems exceedingly improbable.

It is unknown if Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, who lives in Los Angeles with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, will be transported to the UK during this time. Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Harry was the first member of the royal family to leave Balmoral, and he is now with Markle in Windsor, London. Meghan was expected to go to Balmoral with Harry, but the Sussex family quickly walked back their claim.

According to a trusted royal insider, The Post: "Tensions were so high and there was no way Meghan could have gone to Balmoral. The fact the Sussex camp did say both Harry and Meghan were going — and then quickly retracted that statement — will tell you everything you need to know about the drama behind the scenes."
