NEW DELHI : India President Droupadi Murmu will represent at the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth-II in London on September 19. The Presidnete  will be visiting London from September 17 to 19 to offer condolences on behalf of the Government of India.

On September 8, Queen Elizabeth, the former monarch of the United Kingdom and head of the Commonwealth of Nations, passed away.

The death of Queen Elizabeth II was mourned by President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On September 12, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar paid a condolence visit to the British High Commission in New Delhi. On Sunday, India also commemorated a day of national sorrow (September 11).

Narendra Modi, the prime minister, tweeted, "As a pillar of our time, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered. She gave her country and people with great leadership. She was the epitome of respectability and decency in public. afflicted by her death. In this difficult time, my thoughts are with her family and the people of the UK." 

"The relationship between India and the UK has greatly developed, grown, and deepened over Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's 70-year reign. As Head of the Commonwealth, she significantly contributed to the wellbeing of millions of people around the globe "In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
