R Madhavan has collaborated with Sushant Singh Rajput for a sci-fi film titled 'Chanda Mama Door Ke', the film will be first space film of Bollywood. In the film, Sushant plays an astronaut while Maddy will play the role of a pilot in the Air Force, "I can't wait to see this film with my son. I'm sure he'll be proud of me. It’s such an awesome story and a fantastic team, it's cutting-edge," Madhavan said.

However, Sushant has been learning flying lessons, "This role will definitely require much prepping as we are doing it with a lot of authenticity."

Will he also be taking flying lessons? "Not really, we will be working on the simulators," he said. Madhavan had already played the role of a pilot in Rang De Basanti, he said, "I myself have a defense background as I have trained for the NCC. And, having done RDB and the serial Sea Hawks, I know the basics."

Madhavan regarding his weight loss said, "I have seven films three in Hindi and four in South on hand and most require me to have a lean and mean look."
