Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Dec 25 (NT): After a twin win in Gujarat and HP polls, BJP with his development row made a faith on BJP leader Jairam Thakur for CM post in HP. He is ready to take responsibility of the state chief minister and the party leaders believe that the state will fundamentally gain under his leadership.

 BJP leader Ram Swaroop Sharma told ANI that Jairam Thakur has reached this position through many years of great efforts. He is also the first CM candidate from Mandi.

Swaroop is sure that the things that could not be fulfilled throughout the previous government now will be effectively completed under Thakur's term

Echoing similar sentiments, BJP leader Satpal Singh Satti not only praised the newly-elected chief minister, but also expressed thanks the people of Himachal Pradesh for serving the party establish a majority in the state in the just finished assembly polls.

Before on Sunday, Jairam Thakur was declared as the next chief minister of the state, following a BJP MLAs' assemble at which party leaders including former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, Shanta Kumar and Union Minister JP Nadda were present.

The newly-elected chief minister will be taken oath in on December 27 in Shimla.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, and other well-known party leaders are likely to be present at the ceremony. (NT)
