In a groundbreaking achievement for India, Rachel Gupta has been crowned Miss Grand International 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. At just 20 years old, she has made history as the first Indian to win this prestigious title. The crowning took place at the MGI Hall, where the outgoing titleholder, Luciana Fuster from Peru, presented her with the crown. The event also recognized four runners-up: Christine Juliane Opiaza from the Philippines (1st runner-up), Thae Su Nyein from Myanmar (2nd runner-up), Safiétou Kabengele from France (3rd runner-up), and Talita Hartmann from Brazil (4th runner-up).

Hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab, Rachel stands tall at 5 feet 10 inches. A professional model, actress, and entrepreneur, she is trilingual, fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Rachel emerged as a crowd favorite throughout the competition, known for her stunning looks, which include a serene, chiseled face and captivating eyes. Before clinching the international title, she was crowned Miss Grand India 2024 during the national finals of the Glamanand Supermodel India competition, held in Jaipur on August 11, 2024. In addition to winning the crown, she also secured four special awards: Miss Top Model, Miss Beauty with a Purpose, Best in Ramp Walk, and Best National Costume.

Miss Grand International is one of the world's most anticipated beauty pageants, celebrated for its extravagant production and glamorous finale. The pageant, founded by Thai entrepreneur Nawat Itsaragrisil, has been hosted in various countries, including Venezuela, Indonesia, and the United States. Over the years, it has gained a reputation as a leading fashion event, showcasing some of the most beautiful contestants globally.
