Radhakishan Damani, the country's well-known investor and owner of DMart Stores, is once again in the news. This time he is in the news about buying a large stake in India Cements. Initially, some media reports were quoted as saying that Radhakishan Damani-owned company Avenue Supermarts was in talks with N Srinivasan in an informal manner to buy a large stake in India Cements in order to take over the company. Later news came in which 'Business Line' and Reuters said that India Cements has denied such reports in which billionaire Radhakishan Damani is in talks to buy shares in the company. Radhakishan Damani was born on 1 January 1956 in Mumbai. He quit going to college after the first year. After this, he became a broker in the stock market. He became a share trader in the 1980s. Damani quit stock trading in 2000 and started a retail business in Navi Mumbai by buying land at a low price. Ever born in a one-room house in Mumbai, Damani has assets of several billion dollars. Recently, his name was included in the Forbes Real Times Billionaires Index. He also surpassed HCL's Shiv Nadar ($ 16.5 billion), Uday Kotak ($ 14.9 billion) and Gautam Adani ($ 14.1 billion) in the list of rich people of the country.
