New Delhi: After Congress and Rahul Gandhi cornered the Indian government over the 'vaccine friendship' programme, veteran party leader Shashi Tharoor is now targeting the Modi government for banning the export of corona vaccine. Referring to a comment by Dr Soumya Swaminathan, a leading scientist at the World Health Organisation (WHO), Shashi Tharoor said the government should bow its head in shame to ban the export of covid-19 vaccine.

Tharoor said, "When a senior WHO official, a distinguished Indian, says that India's decision to ban vaccine exports has had a serious impact on 91 countries, the Vishwaguru (government) should bow his head in shame. In fact, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan has said that supply has been disrupted in 91 countries due to lack of vaccine supply. " Talking to a private news channel, he said that 91 countries are affected by the shortage of supplies, especially since Estrajeneka is not able to make up for the shortage of doses from its subsidiary Serum. Ironically, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have been attacking PM Modi since the beginning over the export of vaccine. They are surrounding the PM by saying, 'Why did our children send the vaccine abroad?'

On the other hand, Shashi Tharoor is going four steps ahead of him and targeting the Government of India over the ban on export of vaccine. That is, if you send a vaccine, you have trouble, if you don't send it, the Congress plan is not to cooperate in this epidemic, but only to surround the government.

In fact, the entire narrative of India's "sending vaccine supplements abroad" is baseless, as the dose of vaccine sent to friendly countries under 'Vaccine Friendship' is a very small part of the dose already provided by India to its citizens. At the same time, the 'Vaccine Friendship' initiative has created a large-scale international goodwill for India, which reflects the country's generosity on how it is extending its hand to help other countries in the Corona crisis and now India is getting a lot of help from other countries as well.
