Wayanad (Kerala): Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi arrived in his parliamentary constituency of Wayanad on Tuesday. He came here to look after the ongoing work of rehabilitation of the people who have been left homeless by the floods. Wayanad is one of the worst affected districts in Kerala and is also Rahul Gandhi's parliamentary constituency.

About 50,000 people in Wayanad have taken shelter in relief camps set up by the state government earlier this month. Rahul Gandhi wrote on his Twitter handle, "I am in my parliamentary constituency, Wayanad, for the next few days. I will visit the flood relief camps and take a look at the ongoing rehabilitation work in the area. Most of the work has been completed, but some work needs to be done right now," he said.

Rahul, MP from Wayanad, will visit the flood-affected areas and is expected to return to Delhi on August 30. yesterday, at the first stop of the day  Rahul went to relief camps and distributed relief material to the flood-affected people at St. Thomas Church in Chungam Thalappuzha village.
