New Delhi: On Wednesday, hours after an interview of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with actor Akshay Kumar was released, Congress President Rahul Gandhi took a poetic dig at him. Without naming PM Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi said his acting skills cannot make people fool anymore. He also reiterated his 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' jibe at PM Modi.

"हकीकत रूबरू हो तो, अदाकारी नहीं चलती। जनता के सामने, चौकीदार, मक्कारी नहीं चलती #ChowkidarChorHai," Gandhi tweeted sharing a video in which a man is seen slamming PM Modi for "lying". In the video, the man recites poem laced with political satire aimed at Prime Minister Modi. In a candid conversation with actor Akshay Kumar, Modi spoke on a range of issues.

However, it is to be noted that  today, Rahul's sister and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi took a jab at PM Modi's interview. "Yesterday you may have seen him interviewing with big, noteworthy actors but you will never see him with people. I went to Varanasi recently, and I came to know that in the past five years, the prime minister hasn’t gone to any village," she said while addressing a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh.

To be noted that Priyanka also termed the prime minister “pradhan prachar mantri” or chief publicity minister. During his interview with Akshay Kumar, PM Modi revealed that Banerjee, otherwise one of his most vocal critic, herself selects kurtas and gifts them to him every year. He also explained why he doesn't stay with his family.
