NEW DELHI: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, claimed on Tuesday that he and his cousin Varun Gandhi had two different beliefs and that he could not accept the one that had been accepted. Rahul remarked, "I can meet him, hug him, but I can't accept that ideology," while on his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Punjab.
"Varun Gandhi is in the BJP; if he walks here, it could cause him problems." His ideology is not the same as mine. I'd have to be beheaded before visiting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office. My relatives have a philosophy. Varun acquired another philosophy at some point in the past, and possibly even does so today. Rahul told reporters, "I can meet him, I can hug him, but I can't accept such mentality.

Rahul also voiced concern about the "pressure" the BJP and RSS were putting on the nation's institutions. The RSS and the BJP currently govern every institution in the nation. All institutions are under stress. He said that the judiciary was under pressure from the press, the government, the Election Commission, and other institutions.
This isn't a conflict between two political parties, either. The country's institutions, which they have taken control of, are now engaged in conflict with the opposition, Rahul said.
