New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday, before presenting the budget for the financial year 2021-22, said that there is a need to increase health and defense expenses along with helping small and medium businesses in the budget. He tweeted that, "MSMEs, farmers, and workers should be helped in the Budget-2021 to create employment." The Congress leader said, "To save lives of people, increase expenditure on the health sector." Defense spending increases to protect borders."
Significantly, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the budget for the next financial year today. This is the first budget since the Corona epidemic. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met President Ram Nath Kovind before presenting the Union Budget 2021-22 today. According to tradition, the Finance Minister went to Rashtrapati Bhavan and met the President before going to Parliament. The Union Cabinet, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, has approved the budget for FY 2021-22 before the budget was presented in Parliament.
Traditionally, copies of the budget are brought to the Parliament premises before the arrival of the Finance Minister, but this year no document has been printed due to the Corona Protocol. In place of this, copies of the budget will be provided electronically. Budget documents will be posted on the government website and a special app has also been developed for this.
