New Delhi: After Farmer VD Dinesh Kumar committed suicide, Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to state's Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan asking him to investigate the matter and financially help the deceased's family . On Saturday, Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan answered Rahul's letter.

According to information received from the sources, Pinarai Vijayan told that he has asked the District Magistrate to conduct thorough investigation of the matter and submit a report to the government to take further action. He wrote in the letter, "Mr. Rahulji, you wrote a letter on May 28 in which you urged for the investigation in case and help of the family of Wayanad farmer VD Dinesh Kumar As you may know, Kerala keeps trying to help the farmers and we have stopped taking the amount till the end of this year from them.

With this, he further wrote in the letter, "You will agree with me that farmers of the whole country have to face a lot of problems in paying the amount to be taken for farming. This matter needs to be raised in Parliament and I hope you will help us in this. So that not only will farmers get relief from different parts of the country but also in Kerala. I have been asked to submit a detailed report to the Government after thorough investigation by the District Magistrate so that further action can be taken. Which includes financial help.
