NEW DELHI: On Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to meet the family of Wala who was killed on May 29.

On Monday, former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot paid a visit to Moose Wala's home and met the singer's father. He expressed his sorrow over the murder and requested that the perpetrators be brought to justice.

"It's heartbreaking to learn how our leader was murdered. The state is repeatedly instilled with a sense of threat. The government and state governments should look into the death case and take appropriate measures. The purpose of such an incident is to instil terror in the public. Drug cartels, terrorists, and criminals are all gaining ground (in Punjab). The murder of Sidhu Moose Wala should be investigated by the Centre and the State, and the perpetrators should be brought to justice "Pilot stated to the press.

In the meantime, BJP leaders Hans Raj Hans and Manjinder Singh Sirsa visited Moose Wala's family to express their condolences on the singer's death.

According to the post-mortem study, Moose Wala's body had 19 bullet injuries and he died within 15 minutes of being shot, with the cause of death being "haemorrhage shock" owing to antemortem gunshot injuries.
