New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is constantly attacking the central government over the difficulties of migrant workers trapped in lockdown. Due to the lockdown, a large number of workers were forced to return to their respective states on foot. On May 16, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi spoke to these workers near Sukhdev Vihar flyover.

Rahul Gandhi has shared a video on his YouTube channel this morning. The 17-minute video begins with scenes showing the pain of migrating migrant workers. Later, people have been told their pain. Mahesh Kumar of Jhansi says, 120 km to walk. Stopped at night and proceeded. We are compelled to walk on foot. Another woman says the older man has no problem. We have been starving for three days. We also have a child together, he is hungry and thirsty for three days. Another woman says that whatever was earned has ended in the last two months. That is why we have left the house on foot.

Rahul Gandhi talks to a laborer. Rahul asks where he is coming from and what he used to do. The person states that he is coming from Haryana and used to work on the construction site. The person tells that he has started walking a day before. He has his entire family with him. The person has said that he received a lockdown report. Where they lived, they had to pay 2500 rupees in the name of rent. That is why they are leaving Jhansi. Rahul Gandhi asked him that you have money, you are eating food? In response to this question, the family said that people give them something to eat on the way. Many times food is also available, if not found many times, then we walk ahead on foot.
