Lucknow: After suffering a humiliating defeat in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has made a big revelation. He said that before the elections, Congress wanted to form an alliance with the BSP. BSP supremo Mayawati was also offered the chief minister's post,  but she did not even respond.

Congress Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi has said that Mayawati has not contested the assembly elections this time. On our behalf, she was offered an alliance. We even said that she could become CM. But she did not respond to our proposal. According to Rahul Gandhi, Mayawati does not want to fight the ED now because of the fear of the CBI. Rahul Gandhi has said that we have a lot of respect for Kashiram (founder of BSP). He had strengthened the Dalits. Congress has weakened, but that's not the issue.

Rahul Gandhi continued his speech by saying that it is necessary for the Dalit to be empowered. But Mayawati says she will not fight. The path is very open, but because of the CBI, ED, and Pegasus, she doesn't want to fight. Let us know that this statement of Rahul Gandhi after the election results is very important. The question is if there was an alliance of the BSP and the Congress before the elections, would the situation on the ground have changed, and could the performance of the two parties have been better?
