Panaji: Polling for 40 Assembly seats in Goa is scheduled to be held in a single phase on February 14. In the upcoming elections in Goa, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going in front of the voters citing a double-engine government and development work, while the Congress is fully hopeful of winning this election.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Goa, former Congress national president and Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi has said that a permanent and legal mining scheme will be launched in Goa immediately after the Congress comes to power. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, "This time we will get a full majority and we will work immediately to ensure that only Congress forms the government in Goa."

Rahul Gandhi further said that unemployment has become a big problem in Goa. Every young man in Goa knows that there is no job here. We all know what the condition of tourism has become. The BJP's rule in Goa for the last five years has been achieved by theft. The people of Goa wanted to bring the Congress to power, but the BJP formed the government hereby giving money by doing corruption. The BJP has not done any development work in the last five years.
