Wayanad: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi participated in a tractor rally against agricultural laws in Wayanad, Kerala, his constituency. During this time he was seen driving a tractor himself. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the Modi government. He said that PM Narendra Modi had made fun of MNREGA in Parliament and the government had to increase the budget of this MNREGA during the lockdown.

Rahul has called MGNREGA the biggest reason for the development in the UPA government. Rahul Gandhi said that this brought money into the pockets of the people of the village. Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rahul said that the idea of the saffron party is empowering the powerful while the thinking of the Congress is to empower the weak. During his visit to Wayanad, the Congress leader met the survivors of the Kozhikode plane crash.

With this, Rahul Gandhi started a bus service at Infant Jesus School in Wayanad itself. Apart from this, he also unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at St. Joseph's School. Assembly elections are going to be held in Kerala this year. The party has a lot of expectations from the Kerala elections, with Congress continuously getting shocks in South India.
