UP government presents Rs 5.5 lakh crore budget for 2021-22

Lucknow: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh presented a budget of Rs 5 lakh 50 thousand 270 crores 78 lakh in the Vidhan Sabha on Monday. This budget is being linked with the assembly elections to be held in the state next year. The budget has allocated huge funds for women, villages, students Purvanchal Expressway and medical colleges.

A total of 40 hostels will be built in the 19 districts of the state. Books will also be provided. There will be chambers for advocates in different districts. The Yogi government has proposed to set up a sports university in Meerut. Along with this, Rs 25 crore will be provided for the stadium in the village and a free hostel facility in Sanskrit schools. 2000 crores for Jewar, Chitrakoot, and Sonbhadra airports will start operations in 2021.

The Finance Minister announced in the budget speech that Ayurveda is being promoted. Work is being done for Ayurveda schools in Lucknow-Pilibhit. Rs 50 crore has been proposed for corona vaccination. 7,200 crore has been allocated for land acquisition of Ganga Expressway project and Rs. 489 crore for construction work. Apart from this, a budget of Rs 210 crores was proposed for the special schemes of the Bundelkhand region.
