New Delhi: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi on Friday slammed the Central government over the hike in CNG prices, accusing it of continuing to grow inflation, which is weighing heavily on the country on "good days". Referring to the hike in CNG prices, he tweeted, "Inflation continues to grow, 'good days' are heavy on the country, PM's bus, friends accountable!''

Congress MPs have been repeatedly attacking the Central government citing price rise. He has opened a front against the Centre on Twitter microblogging site. There is hardly a day when Rahul does not tweet attacking the Central Government on one issue or the other. Earlier this month also, he hit out directly at PM Narendra Modi through his tweet raising the issue of price rise. Rahul Gandhi had taken a dig at the 'good day' three days ago as well. He had raised the issue of wages of MGNREGA workers.

However, CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) also became costly in nearby cities including Delhi on Thursday amid record hike in petrol and diesel prices. The prices of CNG have been increased due to cost escalation. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), a retail seller of CNG and domestic LPG in Delhi, on Thursday hiked the price of CNG by 90 paise per kg and LPG by Rs 1.25 per cubic metre.
