New Delhi: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi constantly targets the Modi government for taking steps like demonetisation, lockdown. Now Rahul has targeted the central government in the case of suicide by Aishwarya Reddy, a 19-year-old student of the prestigious Shri Ram College in Delhi. Rahul said that through deliberate demonetisation and desegregation, the BJP government has ruined countless houses, this is the truth. He also expressed condolences to the family members of the student.

Aishwarya was a resident of Rangareddy district of Telangana and her father was a motor mechanic. The father says that his daughter used to dream of becoming an IAS, but he did not have enough money to buy an old laptop for him during lockdown. As per media reports, Aishwarya was a student of BSC Mathematics from Lady Shri Ram College. Aishwarya, who secured 95 per cent marks in class 12, committed suicide by hanging herself in her house on November 2. Aishwarya has written in her suicide note that her studies have become a huge financial burden on the family, but if she cannot study then she has no right to live.

The admission of Aishwarya in college, his father Srinivas had raised two lakh rupees by mortgaging the house, the installment of which he is still paying. Srinivas says that the financial situation has worsened due to the shop being closed during the lockdown. After six months the shop was not able to get back on track even after opening shop again.
