Earlier, during his address at Erode, Rahul Gandhi had told people, "I have not come here to tell you what to do. I haven't even come to speak my mind to you. I've come here to listen to you guys. You have come to hear the problems of the people and come to try to find a solution to those problems."

Rahul Gandhi, while supporting the Farmers' Movement, said, "Instead of listening to and understanding the problems of farmers, the present government treats them as terrorists." Earlier also he tweeted writing, "We will fight these forces together," adding that the Modi government was on the inflation front.
