New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi recalled Mahatma Gandhi on the violence during a farmers' tractor rally in the country's capital, Delhi, saying non-violence is a better route. He said that Bapu also used to say that politely you can shake the world. Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has termed the violence in Delhi on Tuesday amid the ongoing farmers' demonstrations against agricultural laws.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted Mahatma Gandhi's statement on Wednesday, saying, "In a humble way, you can shake the world". Rahul Gandhi, MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, also stressed on PM Modi that his government is only wasting time in the name of talks with farmers. If the government really wants a solution, the round of talks with the farmers does not reach 11 phases. Rahul has once again appealed to the government to cancel the agricultural laws at the earliest.

Earlier on Tuesday also, Rahul condemned the violence during the farmers' demonstration. He said, "violence is not a solution to any problem. The injury will be of our country, the loss to anyone. Take back the anti-agricultural law for the benefit of the country! ' After this violence, the Delhi police has taken the rest of 93 accused. While 200 people have been taken into custody. 22 FIR has been lodged in the case.
