New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced Rs 1.76 lakh crore to the Modi government from its treasury. The RBI's decision has angered the opposition. Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi said that the economic crisis created by PM Modi and the Finance Minister is not going to end.

Rahul Gandhi, MP from Wayanad, said the theft from the RBI's coffers will no longer be useful. It's like stealing a band-ed from a dispensary and applying it to wounds of the bullet, won't work. On the other hand, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has said that it is a coincidence that the RBI's contingency reserve is used for excessive financial emergencies and war-like situations that the BJP government is using to prevent its monumental disturbances on the economic front.

Randeep Surjewala said Modi 2.0 has transformed 'R' into 'Reserve' to 'Ravaged' (waste) in RBI. The BJP has eroded the RBI's credibility. The Committee, headed by Bimal Jalan of the Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on Monday decided to transfer Rs 1.76 lakh crore from the reserve bank's dividend and surplus funds to the government, which has since been sizzled by the opposition.
