New Delhi: Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has hit out at the government over the Pegasus spyware issue. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, 'We know what 'they' are reading, which is also in your phone.' In fact, international media claimed that phones of many journalists, leaders and others in India were hacked and the Government of India used pegasus, the hacking software of the Israeli company NSO Group.

Media reports say that the numbers of people belonging to the legal community, businessmen, government officials, scientists, activists and others are included in the list. It also said that there are more than 300 Indian mobile numbers in the list. The upper house of Parliament has been asked by CPI leader Binoy Vishwam, RJD MP Manoj Jha, AAP MP Sanjay Singh and several other MPs to discuss the issue. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said our national security is at stake. He said he must raise the issue in the House.

Pegasus is a spyware that can hack iPhone and Android devices. This enables the person who sends the malware to see the messages, photos, and emails on that phone. Moreover, this software can also record calls on that phone. This software can secretly activate the phone's mic.
