Covid cases in the country are setting a new record every day. There was some decline in covid cases on Monday but concerns still persist as more than 2.5 lakh cases have been reported. More than 2 lakh 56 thousand cases of covid were reported in the country in the last 24 hours while more than 1750 people lost their lives. The number of covid infected people in the country has also crossed 1.5 crores. India lags behind only the US in the covid infected figures. What is worrying for India is that the active cases of covid in the country have crossed 20 lakhs. Half of these cases have increased in the last 10 days.

The second wave is more deadly: It has been revealed that the second wave of covid is continuously wreaking havoc in the country. This can be gauged from the number of active cases in India. While the active cases of corona in the first wave crossed 10 lakhs, in the second wave it has crossed 20 lakhs. On April 10, there were 10 lakh covid patients in India which reached 20 lakh 30 thousand 725 by Monday night. After the US, India is the only country where active matters have crossed 20 lakhs. In Brazil, the active cases of Covid reached 1.3 million two weeks ago, but now corona cases have started declining.
