New Delhi: Congress Former national president Rahul Gandhi will be in Assam on a two-day visit from March 19. In a two-day visit, Rahul Gandhi will address three election rallies in Upper Assam and Northern Assam. He will also talk to tea garden workers and college students. According to the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, rahul will interact with college students of Dibrugarh district at Lahowal at 11:30 am on March 19.

Rahul Gandhi will then meet Tea Garden workers at Dinjoy Tea Estate in Chabua at 1 pm. He will also hold a rally at Dumduma in Tinsukia district on Thursday. Rahul will hold two rallies on Friday, March 20. The first rally will be held at Mariani in Jorhat district and the second rally at Gohpur in Sonitpur. State Congress Committee sources have informed that the big Congress leaders are going to visit Assam in the next few weeks. Among them will be Rahul's sister and Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi last visited Assam on February 14. During this visit, he visited Sivasagar district of Upper Assam. She was followed by her sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on March 1 and 2. She met women working in T Garden. In Assam, polling will be held in three phases for 126 assembly constituencies. Voting for the first phase will be held on March 27. This will be followed by the second phase of polling on April 1 and the third phase on April 6. The results will come on May 2. A majority is required to win 64 seats.
