New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi took the first dose of the corona vaccine three days ago. According to media reports, he did not appear in Parliament on Thursday and Friday after taking vaccine supplements. However, it is yet to be ascertained whether they have got the Covaxin or the Covishield. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had already questioned Rahul Gandhi about the delay in vaccination against the Coronavirus.

Rahul Gandhi and his family were also accused by the BJP of creating hesitation about the vaccine among the people. In June, Congress said that the party's interim president Sonia Gandhi had taken both doses of the Covishield vaccine. The party's general secretary and his daughter Priyanka Gandhi had taken the first dose of the vaccine. Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala had said that Rahul Gandhi will get the vaccine done after recovering from corona as advised by doctors.

Surjewala had said that the Modi government should focus on vaccinating 80 lakh to one crore people every day to meet the target of 100 crore Indians by December 31, 2021. He said that "This is the only 'raj dharma' which they need to follow after the second wave of coronavirus is over.'' Explain that Congress has been criticizing the government for its vaccination strategy and has said that the government should make public its policy on how to vaccinate all Indians and how to protect them from Covid-19 in the future.
