Bhandara: A massive fire broke out in a government hospital in Bhandara district of Maharashtra today. Ten newborn deaths have been reported due to the fire. As soon as this news was received by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he has tweeted. In a tweet, he expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased. My condolences to the families of the children who have lost their loved ones. I appeal to the Maharashtra government to provide all possible help to the injured and the families of the deceased. '

It has been reported that the fire started in the children's ward at 2 pm on 8 January. After that 10 newborns died. It is also reported that seven children have been rescued from the Sick Newborn Care Unit (SNCU). This information has been given by Pramod Khandate, Civil Surgeon of Bhandara. It is being said that the children who died from one day to three months were included. It is also being said in a report that there were a total of 17 children in the ICU ward of Newborn Baby Care Unit but only 7 of them could be saved.
At the same time, the remaining 10 children have died. It is being said that when the nurse on duty opened the door, there was only smoke in the room and after that the fire department was informed. Upon investigation, it was found that smoke was coming out of the out-of-borne unit of the hospital and the fire was caused by a short circuit.
