NEW DELHI: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to facilitate a respectful parliamentary discussion on alleged NEET exam irregularities. Stressing its significance, Gandhi highlighted the opposition's united stance in prioritizing this issue for the benefit of the country's youth.

Speaking to the media recently, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, urged PM Narendra Modi to ensure a thorough and respectful debate in Parliament regarding the alleged irregularities in the NEET exam. He emphasized that this issue is of utmost importance, with all opposition parties unanimously agreeing to prioritize it above all else.

"This issue deeply concerns our youth, and the INDIA bloc views it as the most critical matter," Gandhi asserted. "It's imperative that Parliament shows our youth that both the government and the opposition are united in addressing their concerns. I urge PM Modi to engage in a respectful dialogue on NEET in Parliament, as it directly impacts our nation's future," he added.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), conducted by the NTA on May 5, saw participation from approximately 24 lakh students. Following the release of results on June 4, allegations surfaced regarding question paper leaks and other irregularities, particularly in Bihar. As a result, the Education Ministry canceled the UGC-NET and NEET (postgraduate) exams due to concerns over their integrity.
