Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are campaigning for the third phase of Assembly elections in Assam today. Amit Shah 3 rallies and Rahul Gandhi are going to address two rallies. Shah's rallies may be in Chirang and Kamrup districts. Rahul is the first to worship at Kamakhya Devi temple at 9:15 am. After which he is going to address the rally at Pritipur in Chaygaon in Kamrup district at 11 am. Then, at 12:15 a.m., he is going to rally at The Loharkatha of Barkhetri in Nalbari district.

Rahul Gandhi was about to preach in Assam on Tuesday but could not reach for publicity due to inclement weather. Rahul released a video saying, "Today, because of inclement weather, I could not reach all, but the message of me and Mahajot is clear. Assam to pursue the path of advancement and prosperity with 5 guarantees. For this purpose, you should support the Mahajot with huge votes.''

Campaigning for the second phase of voting ends in Assam: Campaigning for the second phase of Assam Assembly elections ended on Tuesday evening. Under the second phase, the political future of 345 candidates is going to be decided in 39 constituencies on April one. The issue of the revised Citizenship Act (CAA) was at the top of the election campaign and in the first phase of elections, the BJP kept quiet on the issue. But in the meantime, the party raised the issue in the Barak Valley where there is a sizeable Hindu Bengali population and many of them are rooted in Bangladesh. It has been revealed that the BJP, in its campaign, specifically attacked AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal and alleged that he promoted illegal infiltration which created many problems. The party also targeted Congress for the alliance with the AIUDF.
