New Delhi: The country received its first batch of new multi-purpose fighter aircraft in the last nearly two decades as five Rafale fighter jets on Wednesday. Meanwhile, former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has congratulated the Air Force on the first shipment of Rafale fighter jets. Along with this, he has fired three questions from the Modi government at the Center.

Rahul Gandhi has tweeted from his official Twitter handle saying, 'Congratulations to the Indian Air Force for the Rafale aircraft. But will the government answer these questions?

1-Why was the cost of each aircraft given Rs 1670 crore instead of Rs 526 crore?

2. Why buy only 36 aircraft instead of 2 126?

3- Why was the bankrupt Anil given a contract of Rs 30,000 crore instead of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)?

Let us tell you that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi had made allegations of bribery in the Rafale deal and made it an election issue. Earlier, in December 2018, the apex court had dismissed PIL seeking a court-monitored inquiry into the purchase of 36 fighter jets for 59 thousand crore rupees, saying it did not see anything wrong in it. Even after this, the process of political accusations continued.
